Don't forget to Like, Comment, and SUBSCRIBE if you haven't done so already!
This week I wanted to share some of my songwriting and producing pet peeves. There are some things that just bug me... and I might be guilty of myself once upon a time. 😅 So bring your sense of humor and I hope this gives you a laugh!

Just posted my latest video on YouTube for new artists on how to get their music on places like Spotify, Apple Music, and Pandora! I thought it would be fun to do a tutorial on exactly how to use a music distribution platform like TuneCore to help release your next single. This video isn't sponsored but I have used TuneCore for over 12 years and I love a lot of their features and prices. If you use a different distributor -that's totally fine! As long as you're getting your music out there, that's what counts! :D

Did you know that EDM is NOT a super-specific genre of music?
It's actually the BROAD TERM for many different genres such as pop, breakbeat, ambient, disco, and dance!
So, no, it's not actually correct to say "EDM music" because EDM stands for "Electronic Dance Music!" (it's a bit redundant to say it the former way. 😂
The type of music I make is, technically speaking, EDM but falls under the genres of dance and pop music. My music is generally constructed with pop lyrical elements and strong dance beats and synthlines.
So what defines EDM exactly?
I did a FULL VIDEO breaking down the history of EDM and what exactly it encompasses this week on my YouTube Channel! Check it out above!

Girls' Generation is my all-time favorite K-Pop group. Their music changed my entire perspective on what was possible in pop music and really helped influence my sound. They are undeniably talented and so today I wanted to share some of my favorite songs by SNSD that continue to inspire me to this day.
Can you define "verse," "chorus," and "bridge" as it pertains to songwriting? How about "hook," "drop," or "breakdown?"
You might kinda know what they are without being able to define them exactly. Don't worry, this isn't a test and you're not alone. 😂
This week I'm dissecting all the various parts of a pop song (and all its crossover) and sharing some advanced tips that will help YOU write your next hit!
Check it out!
2019 has been one busy year...
I cannot believe it is already November. I mean, there has been SO MUCH that has happened in my career that I can't really believe less than 10 months ago I released "Utopia!" It seem so close, yet incredibly far away...
In one year I accomplished the following:
✅ More than Doubled my Subscriber Count on YouTube (almost to 1K!)
✅ Managed a special fan club on Patreon
✅ Posted new video content on YouTube almost every Wednesday
✅ Released a 10-part Vlog series
✅ Shared a Documentary about recording "Utopia"
✅ Released 1 new EP ("Utopia") as well as 2 standalone singles ("You'll Find Love" & "Ouija Board")
✅ Posted new content regularly on social media
✅ hit 40K streams on Apple Music
✅ Got playlisted on Spotify
I am so grateful to everyone who supports my music and videos. I really mean it. I can't thank you enough for choosing to listen to my songs, my voice and that some of you find my videos so helpful. I love what I do and it fills me with such joy knowing my content helps someone in some way. You are phenomenal and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
There's a lot more that I want to say, but I think I still need to find a day to catch up with myself and really reflect. So much has been happening in the background amidst all that and I want to share it, but it's not time yet. I need to take a beat in the fast-paced rhythm of this year.
And this year has been quite the year of milestones, that's for sure.
Until then, I just want to say thank you for getting me through 2019. I'm not sure I would have if it weren't for your love and continued support.
How much money do independent artists make? Where exactly does their money come from and how can you be sure you're collecting it all?
Well, today on YouTube I'm breaking this down because making money in the music industry can get pretty complicated so I'm gonna simplify it for you! There are 3 main areas where artists make money: Music Sales; Music Royalties; and Merchandise Sales.
We can even dive further into music royalties between Publishing, Writing, and Featured Artist. Take a look at the above video to uncover the average salary of an independent artist as well!
