In the Golden Age of MySpace
Damnnnn it sure has been a while since I posted here hasn't it? lol Sorry about that!
Is it still cool to yell out "FAIL?" No? Well I guess you can say I've been a bit busy then. hahaha
The first part of 2017 has been quite the learning experience so far...
I released my equality anthem, "Titans" a few months ago; I'm currently in the middle of moving across statelines for the first time; I set up my first VIP Fan Club; I began posting 1-2 videos on my YouTube Channel every week; did a live chat on Instagram; and much more!
It's interesting how much change is happening in my life right now.
If you didn't know, I"m also just a few days away from the 10th anniversary of my first album, "Intertwined," being released! The record itself was recorded in my bedroom when I was 15 and I knew NOTHING about singing, production, or anything! I just did it kind of on a whim! LOL. The music doesn't reflect where I am as an artist and I DEFINITELY think I've grown since its release. hahaha (No seriously, I really didn't know what the hell I was doing lol)
Even though I consider my first two albums as legit (in my mind, anyway) they really are just a compilation of demos from a high school student trying to figure his life out in the golden age of Myspace :P. I hadn't really taken any voice lessons or anything! Sometimes I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing and everything is really just me testing the waters hahaha.
I guess you gotta start somewhere though, huh?
"Convulsion Heart" and "Intertwined" will probably never be re-released in their original states but I occasionally like to go back and see how far I've grown. That's especially true now being my 10th year of releasing music.
I can't believe where I am right now. It feels like a dream!
I am so proud of myself for keeping on even through the nights I wanted to give it all up and let it go. I couldn't have done it without my family and friends and the support of my growing fanbase. Sometimes, I admit, it's weird to even say that I have fans. Like WHAT? How crazy is that? lol
I wanna place a imaginary mile marker here. 10 years past, 10 years forward. I can't wait to continue to grow and learn more about myself. I can't wait to meet my fans past, present, and future. I'm excited to see what musical creations are brought to life from the experience of it all. I'm truly humbled and so freaking grateful.
I also have a special surprise coming... Keep your eyes peeled.
