Hey There!
How much money do independent artists make? Where exactly does their money come from and how can you be sure you're collecting it all? Well, today on YouTube I'm breaking this down because making money in the music industry can get pretty complicated so I'm gonna simplify it for you! There are 3 main areas where artists make money: Music Sales; Music Royalties; and Merchandise Sales. We can even dive further into music royalties between Publishing, Writing, and Featured Artist. Take a look at the above video to uncover the average salary of an independent artist as well! xo, JONATHAN MILLER 🌙

Heyyyy :)
So for some reason I enjoy embarrassing myself so I guess I'm here to share my latest video on YouTube about my Rejected Song Lyrics. You might be familiar with my Rejected Song Titles series where I showcase some of my awful song titles from when I first started writing music, in which case here are some of the LYRICS that make up a few of those awful titles. Now you'll REALLY get to know why they were rejected! 😂 Enjoy! ~ JONATHAN MILLER🌙 Hey there!

That's right! My new halloween-themed single, "OUIJA BOARD" has just dropped everywhere! It's a little different from music I've put out in the past, but it was an absolute blast to make. Originally intended for my next record, after previewing the song on my Instagram and having my fans go WILD, I knew I couldn't sit on it. However, that being said, consider this your first taste of my next album. Even though my record is quite far off from being completed, this gives you an idea at the creative freedom I've been enjoying. I've been trying new things and stretching my artistic wings. Tbh, I hope it just makes you feel like a badass as well. 😈 Anyway check it out and let me know your favorite lyric! Just wanted to share a new video on my YouTube Channel titled, "How to Deal With Anxiety Before Releasing New Music." Everyone gets artistic self-doubt: "Will they like my music?" "Is my music ACTUALLY finished?" "What if I get negative comments?" "My music isn't trendy anymore -should I even put it out?" The voices in our head fill us with the tendency to second-guess our art and protect it from judgement. So here are some tips on how to help you manage your stress before this exciting moment in your career! xo, JONATHAN MILLER ⚰️ "Spirit in the Dark
I'm sick of these games..." --------------------------- October has arrived in full swing. The trees around my home studio have faded into vibrant reds, greens, yellows, and brown hues. The early morning or late even fog rolls in and everything seems a bit spookier. It's one of my favorite times of the year by far. 🎃 I think it's great to have a day (or month) where you're encouraged to be something you're not. To step outside your comfort zone and do something a little different. The same can be said with music as well. I love when artists shake it up a bit and throw fans a curveball that they might not be expecting. Balancing the familiar and unfamiliar, I love when artists take risks and own their decisions. 🔮 I'm not sure what I'm going as for Halloween yet, but I want to do something different. I usually play it pretty safe on Halloween, but idk, this year I want to be something scarier. Maybe I'll be a zombie or an evil vampire-super-grim-reaper-ghoul thing? 😂 Maybe I'll just play a few tricks this season, biding my time for something bigger. Like I just did by writing this post. See you soon, ~JONATHAN MILLER ⚰️ Happy October! 🎃
