Autumn has Arrived! 🍂
The past year of my life has been quite the whirlwind. It's had it's ups and downs but I'm entering this season with a positive sense of self-worth and strength. Exactly one year ago I was preparing to begin my crowdfunding campaign for "Utopia" on Patreon. Now, I've got a wonderful fanbase there who have helped to drastically improve the quality of my recordings (and just added some new rewards too!) From the launch of "Utopia" in January to the success of "Bitter" and ultimately "You'll Find Love," my goal for 2019 was to share as much new music as possible. I went a long time where no one cared about me nor my music and I wasn't about to let that go. I'm still not. I'm cherishing every single moment as we continue to grow. It's no secret that I've been slowly working on my 6th studio album for the last few years in between mainline projects and recently, I've been making a lot of headway with it. My fans have consistently given me positivity to find strength in what I used to believe were my greatest weaknesses. I'm an independent artist who lives in a town where his style of music just doesn't do well -and yet, I'm thriving. Am I perfect? Far from it. I do all of this work primarily by myself. Even if I'm not doing the exact task myself, I'm still coordinating it from emails, my patreon page, this blog, music videos, photo shoots, writing, producing, etc. It can be a bit hectic but I guess without being aware of it I learned how to juggle really well! My point is, if there's anything I've learned this year it's to trust in uncertainty. Things have a funny way of working out in the end and if it's not all worked out -it's not the end yet. There's always a lesson to learn, something bigger than ourselves at times. Let go of trying to control EVERYTHING and focus on what you already have control OF. I'm making the music I was born to create. I cannot wait for you to hear it and experience that with me. Luckily, you'll hear a sample of it a lot sooner than you think. 😉 Cheers, ~ JONATHAN MILLER🌙
